1. This singing competition (“KTVCLUB IDOL 2011”) opens to anyone, aged between 14 and 40, who is a Singapore citizen, permanent resident, foreign students or work permit holders currently staying in Singapore. Participants below the age of 18 must seek parental consent before joining.
2. This competition is conducted in the category of Vocal Solo. Contestants are only allowed to perform "Mandarin Pop Songs" throughout the whole competition. Songs can be either fast or slow song. No other music sources will be entertained.
3. Contestants will be judge based on a one minute song performance during the Auditions. No music or playing of instruments is allowed. Selected Finalists will be informed by calling or SMS from the organising committee before 08 October 2011 (2359hrs). Finalist who does not response to the call or SMS will be disqualified from the Finals.
4. Finalists selected for The Finals on 22 October 2011 will have to report earlier than the actual event timing and finalists will be informed by the organizing committee on the actual time to report by SMS and Email. Finalists who are late for the early reporting and/or left early before the competition ends will be disqualified.
5. Finalists will compete with each other based on one full song. Playing or using of music instruments is not allowed. Finalists must submit their choice of song to the organizing committee by 15 October 2011 (2359hrs). Changes to the songs submitted are not allowed. There will be no repetition of songs throughout the finals and the selection of song will be on a first-come-first-served basis after audition results are released.
6. Finalists can utilize the KOD system if the song chosen is available or bring along their own original MMO(Minus-one) tracks recorded in CD format. Finalists are advisable to prepare and bring a backup song track in another CD just in case the first one is not working properly.
7. Finalists must make themselves available and render all reasonable assistance to Ktvclub Sg in connection with the promotion, marketing, publicity, photo/video shoots or obtaining sponsorship of the competition, and the conduct of the competition for broadcasting and the recording and exploitation of the competition throughout the world. Failing which, the organizers have the sole discretion to replace the shortlisted finalists.
8. Participants shall not grant any interviews or discuss with any member of the press or other media his/her participation in the contest, without first notifying and obtaining the prior written consent of Ktvclub Sg.
9. Finalists will have to pay for a compulsory first drink charges at S$5.00/Nett at K Union Orchard Cineleisure.
10. Contestants must not be bounded to any professional organization or music publishers related to the music and entertainment industry. Ktvclub Sg will not be responsible for any breach of contract between the contestant and the professional organization or music publishers.
11. All previous champions of KTVCLUB IDOL are not allowed to participate in this competition. All previous runner-ups can only participate in the competition provided if they do not exceed three trophies in KTVCLUB IDOL.
12. All contestants will be judged by our professional panel of judges. The judging criteria will as follows:

13. Contestants who do not abide the rules and regulations, event policy or misbehave during the competition will be disqualified with or without notice. Any contestants found to be giving false information will be disqualified as well. In the case of any disputes, the organizing committee decision will be final.
14. Ktvclub Sg and it’s organizing committee reserves the right to approve or reject any contestants or registrations for this competition and made any changes to the rules and regulations stated herewith with or without prior notice. In circumstances of any misunderstanding, the community policy will be used in conjunction with the terms and conditions stated herewith.
EVENT POLICY (CONTESTANTS AND AUDIENCES)
1. Registered Members refers to anyone who had previously done a SMS registration with Ktvclub Sg, before the date of 08 September 2011.
2. Hark Music current/ex students, K Box members, Lunar members and friends of collaboration partners will be chargeable based on “Category A” rates.
3. Non-registered members or members of the public are welcome to join in this event.
4. Category A for contestants refers to existing registered members of Ktvclub Sg, Hark Music students, K Box members, Lunar Members or friends of the approved collaboration partners who settle payment before 01 October 2011 (2359hrs).
5. Category B for contestants refers to any members of the public or anyone who register and made payment after 01 October 2011 (2359hrs).
6. Payments must be made in advance to confirm your registration, either as a contestant or an audience. This is to ensure fair allocation of seats and proper planning from our organising committee. We will issue an official receipt via email once payment is verified. You are responsible to keep a copy of the receipt for our reference if there is any misunderstanding arises. Payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable.
7. We may issue a limited amount of goodie bags to contestants and audiences throughout this event and it is based on first-come-first served and while stock last basis. It’s up to our sole discreet to replace or exclude any items from the goodie bags. The terms and conditions stated at the vouchers or products must be abided. Ktvclub Sg is not responsible for any damages and sale of products or services arising from the official sponsors and/or collaboration partners.
8. Upon joining this event, either as a contestant, audience, judge, volunteer or organizing committee member, you hereby understand and permit Ktvclub Sg to publish any photos, videos or information collected that will help promotes the interest for the community, event, the press or to any websites. Your privacy such as contact number, identification number and email address will not be published.
9. Non official touting and advertising which may includes distributing business cards, flyers, brochures or direct selling of products or services is strictly not allowed throughout the whole event. Anyone found doing so will be banned from the club and/or disqualified as a contestant or audience.
10. Ktvclub Sg and its organising committee are not responsible for any theft or damages arise throughout the whole event. You are advised to take precautions before any actions made.
11. Ktvclub Sg reserved the rights to approve or reject any applications or registrations for this event and amend any terms and conditions stated here with or without prior written notice. In circumstances of any misunderstanding, the club policy will be used in conjunction with the terms and conditions stated herewith.
12. In the case of any disputes, the organising committee decision will be final.
